Some people act like anything said is about them and become quite nasty. Doesn't make any sense to me as it's just a website. Why don't they use Facebook or something if they want drama?

Some websites are full of drama because they have a lot of drama queens (of whatever gender). It can get rather tedious if they take over the website.  :ermm:

Very true!

@ Rooster:

We lost our resident Prima Drama Queen a while back (he went dark when Trump won the election last November). Can't say as I miss him too much. :ermm:

Hitman told me a lot about that one and I remember him vaguely but I agree, I don't miss that stuff either.

The social media have the millions of trolls, bots, and online experts.

Indeed, this phenomenon is not new, and most on-line communities are affected.

A good friend told me lately that she has been going through tough times, trying to "mend broken pieces" and to soothe things.

Besides trolls, hackers, etc., there are also certain "opinion makers", propagandists, pranksters or activists heating and blinding or destabilising various people, sowing discord among groups and friends.

And some others might be simply awkward, arrive at the wrong moment or place, say a wrong word, etc., or misunderstand something. :)
