From just glancing around, the name Toto comes up pretty frequently as one of the top reviews. Of course American Standard is there along with Delta.

Rooster all I can give you is a negative recommendation; the toilet in my apartment is ProFlo, 1.28 gpf,and I definitely do NOT recommend that one. Fortunately a toilet mechanism is not all that difficult to figure out, because I am continually tinkering with it to keep it operating, getting it unstuck from permanent water flow, etc.

In our house we have old American Standards that work perfectly well, although they do use a lot of water.

On the other hand, the newer, more efficient models sometimes have to be flushed more than once to completely get rid of the...umm...big stuff.

I have seen many reviews but American Standards is the most recommended.  Have found this link where they listed so many toilets online. May be helpful for someone to make decision on buying good toilet.

@Ladyhorse: These will be for the new house I',m buying. I want new toilets in it. House was built in 1965 and I'm sure it's had many changes but I have a thing for new toilets.

Portable toilets are the best to buy if you are on a picnic or trip. But if you are looking for installing a toilet at home then I recommend you to buy it from toiletable.com who are the best toilet providers with high-quality toilets.
