I would go back to a custom found in many homes. You take care of your own family first; then you take care of your extended family; then you take care of strangers. Not as simple as it seems. When you put politics and nationalism into the mix you have what we have today. Way back when the United States was an almost totally isolated country, it took weeks to cross an ocean let alone realize in real time what was happening in the rest of the world. What started out as a general charitable endeavor, meaning the United States helping less fortunate countries etc, especially after wars turned into a political poker game among world powers. It has changes many faces and names but it continues till today.
I do think they believe you are trying to recruit or at a minimum draw Blurtit users from their site. Personally I think they are doing a good job of that by themselves. I would not give them the satisfaction of a response. In all likelihood they will block you from the site in the near future anyway.
I love it. I feel for Norm. Here there is no on the street parking period. What fries my grits is when I spend two hours digging out my driveway and the plow comes by and buries the front of the driveway. I once took a lawn chair and sat at the end of my driveway protesting the plow and daring him to bury me with snow. Well he got out and apologized. I shared some coffee with him and my driveway never got plowed under again.
It's hard not to notice them. Once I had to wade through three pages to find a decent legitimate question. After awhile they are gone however it seems only one person is manning the site. So if that person has finished his or hers 8 or 12 hour shift the user are out of luck till next shift. Blurtit is a great community of users and many are extremely disappointed.
