I think they should, but I am not about to go screaming at someone else that "you're wrong," just because I feel differently than they do.

Until the 11th or 12th century priests were permitted to marry. The reason they were required to be unmarried after that was probably based on the fear that the death of a priest might leave his dependents disputing possession of the church property they had called their home.
