I've left the house wearing my slippers, but it wasn't an accident. I was just dropping the kid off at a friend's house and didn't have to get out of the car.

No, I don't ever wear house shoes or slippers.
Don't wear slippers. However I did go to work one day with one brown shoe and one black shoe. I didn't realize it till the afternoon. Apparently no one else looked at my shoes or cared.

But only ever once ... and that was before I was old enough to have senior's moments when aberrations are a daily expectation.
