Boy is that ever familiar! My old man dragged me to the recruiting station and told me to go in there and join the Navy, just like he had. I joined the Army! He did the same with my older brother and he joined the Marines! LOL.
Lol - Rooster, what coincidence! Even better than the joke.
Don't forget the Naval Valkyries at Mürwik, Rooster!
Wow, T(h)ink, that looks really great.
LOL Marianne! My brother as a child always dreamed of the Navy; so he joined, but it turned out to be a great disillusionment!
Oh, Virginia, that is too bad - he might have landed in the wrong group, or, maybe that he would have been happier in the army.
Marianne, my brother was very bright, very intelligent...however, one of those people for whom the world was just too difficult. He died age only 54, and I am convinced it was PTSD undiagnosed; he was in Vietnam.
Oh, Virginia, that is so sad.
Marianne, as I get older I become more convinced that the world is just too difficult for some people, those of tender heart...I tend to have a special empathy for alcoholics, for example...
Lol, Virginia, yes, many people have great difficulties to deal with too hard realities, and I wouldn't throw the "first stone".
