How Would European Football Teams Survive in the Desert?

Question

Three football teams (Arsnel, Liverpool, and Hartsfield) are flying from England across Egypt for a match in the Middle East.

Their plane crashes in the desert and they survive.
After days of wandering, they are really hungry so when they come across a camel, the footballers decide to kill it and eat it.

The Liverpool team says, "Because we play for Liverpool, will we eat the liver."

The Hartsfield players decide, "Because we play for Hartsfield, we will eat the heart."

Arsnel says, "I think we might go hungry..."

Wait a minute!  Rump steak tastes better than liver or heart, at least when it comes to beef.

I must admit, however, that I've had no experience with eating camel.

Ah Marianne, I have just been learning about the Great Famine in Russia after the Bolshevik Revolution; and people DID eat their camels...

Actually, there were two great famines:  Lenin's in the 20s and Stalin's in the 30s.  (Well, comrades, you've broken 20 million eggs.  Where is the omelette?)

Breaking eggs to make an omelette is an old saying, variously attributed to Robespierre, Napoleon, Lenin and others.  I added the 20 million as a rough estimate of the number of lives lost in the Soviet famines.
