No pressure Bryce.  Hope you live up to the hype.

Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies are finalizing a $330 million deal, MLB Network's Jon Heyman reported on Thursday.

According to ESPN's Jeff Passan, Harper's deal with the Phillies will be for 13 years and will not include any opt-outs. Harper will also receive a full no-trade clause in the deal, per MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. The contract's $330 million salary is a new record for overall dollars, topping the $325 million of Giancarlo Stanton.

Harper will reportedly make $10 million in 2019 with a $20 million signing bonus. The 26-year-old outfielder will take home $26 million annually from 2020 through 2028 before the value drops in his last three years.

Meanwhile in Afghanistan & Iraq, the average combat servicemen is pulling down a whopping $23.57 an hour risking life & limb for their nation.  So yah, I guess we have our priorities right.  8-)

I am not a sports fan, but as long it doesn't cost taxpayers and cost too much money or cause the state government to go into more in debt, it is a good thing.
