In this interview, Cogburn the administrator of Blurtit shares his experience and other interesting things about his career.
Blurtit is an wonderful platform to share opinions and you are doing a great work. Can you tell about yourself?
I'm a divorced single male. Green Beret Vietnam Veteran.
Father of two step-kids and one child of my own. All grown up with their own families now.
How old are you? How many years you have been running this site?
I'm 63 years old and have been an Administrator on this site for a year or so. Been a member for two years
How you got the interest to develop a site like this? What was your struggles during the begining?
Blurtit was already established when I came here, so I didn't develop it.
Brurtit is a big site but I can see there is some drop in the Alexa rankings and do you think any improvement is needed on the site?
Yes, there is a lot of improvement needed. A lot of glitches that never get fixed and the current manager is horrible and lets too much stuff go on that is not necessary. Very poor manager and I'll probably soon leave here because of his lack of interest or care.
What do you do in order to keep up with latest tools and technologies. Which websites your browse regularly and what is your source of up to date knowledge?
I have many years as an online tech for PC problems. I keep an eye open for anything new to learn. I don't browse many websites, just blurtit and Slitherine's Forum
How is your daily schedule and how many hours you work?
As I'm retired from regular work after selling my business, I usually work this site about 5 hours in the early mornings, one hour about mid day and usually two hours in the evenings.
What will you do when you are not working on Blurtit and what all your hobbies?
I usually play PC games and beta test games in my spare time when I'm not doing household work.
What are your future plans?
Only future plans I really have is to go bring my favorite lady to California so I can see her ll the time.
Which are the online social communities you are most active on.
The only online community I deal with is blurtit and I'm getting to like ihavesolved.
Which technology company you like the most among the Microsoft, Google & Apple?
Always been a fan of Microsoft and Google.
