In an area with a Large Population of Transgender's , then I would have to say "yes" it must be awful for them.
@ Ser: The easiest solution is to just have a bunch of unisex bathrooms, with only one person entering at a time. Then the gender (real or imagined) of the occupant wouldn't matter.
most places have a family bathroom. why not just use that. i use the family bathroom because i hate going into bathrooms full of other guys. (bunch of creeps in there)

If you're in a skirt (and have no penis), use the ladies room. If you can stand and use a urinal without raising your leg, use the mens room.
@ TINK While still keeping Male and Female Toilets because I wouldn't of wanted my Girl walking into Unisex Public toilets when She was little , that is a good solution though for this particular problem.
@ Ser: But when your girl was little, you could have just accompanied her into the unisex toilet. People with small children do that all the time.
@ Gun: That was in the old days. Nowadays, school superintendents and legislators have to wrestle with the weighty problems of how to provide public bathroom facilities for individuals with penises who wear skirts, and I don't mean Scotsmen.

All bathrooms should be unisex, no men's , no ladies. Everybody on equal footing, or sitting in this case...
Everyone should have to deal with everybody of all genders and races...
no thanks, I will not use a restroom if there are women in there. I refuse. and this has nothing to do with equality.
