What Does A "Block" Feature Mean To You?

Question

To me, a block feature prevents harassment of one user by another. As you know, some people find it the height of comedy to pick at, harass, cajole, and generally bug the crap out of other people. The block feature allows users to decide if they wish to participate in this (as victim) or not.

And "just ignore them" only works if the attacker is mature enough to realize the victim does not wish to play.

I know that some of the SodaHead refugees won't join any other sites such as this one, unless it has a blocking feature.

T o me it's not that important since I never have needed to block someone from Sodahead or here before but I know it's important for many members.

I don't believe in blocking and I refuse to block anyone.

To me, the block feature means nothing.  In over 4 years on SH, I never once used it.  It was much more fun to deal with the troublemakers by engaging them and exposing them for the fools they were, whereupon they either ran away, or they blocked me, or they reported me to SH, trying to get me DA'd. I never got so much as a warning from the SH mods.
